Group Play

We offer optional group play sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays each week. Safety is our number one priority here, so we have several guidelines we follow for our group play participants.

• Groups separated by size: We carefully group dogs by size to help ensure safe, happy, and comfortable play for everyone. Even in the friendliest environments, differences in size and strength can sometimes lead to accidental bumps or overly rough play, so this extra layer of care helps us keep playtime safe for ALL.

• Rest breaks: To support healthy, positive play, group play sessions are limited in duration to allow each dog breaks to 'reset'. This helps prevent overstimulation and ensures that play remains safe, enjoyable, and appropriately paced for each individual.

• Group Size: We keep our playgroups limited in size so that staff can closely supervise interactions at all times. Smaller, well-managed groups allow us to maintain a calm environment, reduce overstimulation, and ensure each dog is actively monitored throughout play

• Behavior: We also pay close attention to how each dog interacts with others. Some dogs enjoy gentle, social play, while others prefer more active, energetic group settings. By thoughtfully combining both size and temperament, we create groups where dogs can relax, have fun, and interact naturally.

Only about 10% of adult dogs are truly "dog social," meaning they enjoy the company of almost every other dog. Many prefer the company of a few close friends, or even just prefer people! By paying close attention to our 'guidelines' and respecting each dog's preferences, we are able to:​

• Keep play safe and comfortable for all dogs

• Match dogs with others who play at a similar energy level

• Support shy, small, or sensitive dogs so they feel confident

• Encourage positive, well-balanced social experiences

Our team actively monitors every group play session and may make adjustments as needed to ensure every dog is having the best possible experience.

In addition, our staff is formally trained through Dog Handler Academy in canine social behavior, group play dynamics, and emergency response procedures. This training helps ensure they are well-prepared to recognize body language, guide healthy interactions, and maintain safe, positive play environments at all times.
